What we do

CHUNLOU (春楼短剧) is a short drama platform focused on AI-generated content, with its official site at chunlou.tv. We do two things: produce and license AI short dramas, and give independent AI creators a distribution channel by adding multilingual subtitles and releasing their work to viewers worldwide.

Episodes are 1–3 minutes long and a series usually runs 3–15 episodes, made for commutes, lunch breaks and bedtime. The visuals, voices and subtitles of every work are produced with AI; all stories and characters are fictional.

• 25 million+ plays and 4 million+ episodes watched to the end.

How we make AI short dramas

An AI short drama starts with a script: writers break each episode into shots, AI video tools generate the shots, AI voice tools create dialogue and sound, and editors cut it all into episodes. On release, the platform generates and reviews multilingual subtitles for every episode and transcodes it into a mobile-friendly streaming format.

For playback, CHUNLOU uses adaptive bitrate streaming, lowering resolution automatically on slow networks to avoid stalls, and serves content through a global CDN. Read "What is an AI short drama" for more on the production process.

Creative principles

• Original first: works must be original or fully licensed and must not infringe anyone else's IP, characters or trademarks.
• No real people: works must not use the likeness or voice of any real person.
• Respect for copyright: the official site has a copyright complaint channel, and valid notices are handled promptly.
• Every language counts: each series is released to viewers of all languages at the same time.
